Netflix has renewed the Western drama Longmire for a fifth season - the second season on the online streaming service. The announcement was made on the show's Facebook page.
Longmire ran for three seasons on A&E before the cable network opted not to order a fourth season of the drama based on the best-selling novels by Craig Johnson. Netflix officially revived the series three months later. The 10-episode fourth season premiere in early September on Netflix.
The drama stars Robert Taylor, Katee Sackhoff, Lou Diamond Phillips, Bailey Chase, Cassidy Freeman and Adam Bartley.
John Coveny and Hunt Baldwin developed the drama, and executive produce with Christopher Chulack, Greer Shephard and Michael M. Robin. Warner Horizon Television, The Shephard/Robin Company and Two Boomerangs Productions produce.
