Casting News - 'Grandfathered' Stages 'Drake & Josh' Reunion; Sonia Braga Joins 'Luke Cage'; Plus 3 More Updates!

ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. & Quantico; The CW's Arrow; FOX's Grandfathered; and Netflix's Luke Cage.





ABC's AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.
  • Natalia Cordova-Buckley (McFarland, USA) will appear in an upcoming episode of the drama's third season. She will play Yo Yo Rodriguez, aka Slingshot, who has the ability to run at superhuman speeds.
FOX's GRANDFATHERED
  • Drake Bell is reuniting with his Drake & Josh co-star Josh Peck on an upcoming episode of the hit comedy. He will play Kirk, a flash tech investor whom Gerald (Peck) and Vanessa (Christina Milian) are desperate to meet up with to pitch their new app. But as soon as they meet him, they're not sure he's the best man to do business with.
NETFLIX's LUKE CAGE
  • Sonia Braga (Kiss of the Spider Woman) has been tapped to play Claire Temple's (Rosario Dawson) mother, Soledad Temple, on the upcoming drama series starring Mike Colter. This will mark the third Marvel-Netflix series Dawson will appear in.
THE CW's ARROW
  • Tom Amandes (Everwood) has booked a guest role on an upcoming episode of the drama's fourth season. He will play Noah Kuttler, aka The Calculator, a criminal mastermind and technical genius who uses his advanced skills in computer science and internet manipulation to blackmail Roy (Colton Haynes) out of retirement to do his bidding - and put him in conflict with Team Green Arrow.
ABC's QUANTICO
  • Jay Armstrong Johnson, Lenny Platt and Li Jun Li have been cast on the hit drama's first season. Johnson will play Will Olsen, a brilliant working class kid with no social skills who got his Ph.D from Harvard at 22 years old. Platt will play Drew Perales, a former NFL player who retired after two years to fight a class-action lawsuit against his former employers. Li will play Iris Chang, a flirtatious Queen Bee who was born in Shanghai to wealthy parents but has founded six start-ups and sold two to Google.
