FOX's BROOKLYN NINE-NINE
- Sons of Anarchy vet Katey Sagal has been tapped to play Jake's (Andy Samberg) mother, Karen Peralta, on an upcoming episode of the comedy's third season. The episode will also feature the return of Bradley Whitford as Jake's dad, Roger. Karen was forced to raise Jake by herself when Roger left the family when Jake was 7 years old.
STARZ's POWER
- Tony winner Anika Noni Rose (Caroline or Change, A Raising in the Sun) has joined the drama's upcoming third season in a recurring role. She will play LaVerne Thomas, a streetwise cop from the neighborhood where Ghost (Omari Hardwick) and Tommy (Joseph Sikora) grew up.
FOX's NEW GIRL
- Veep star Sam Richardson will appear in an upcoming episode of the comedy's fifth season. He will play a not particularly bright, very clumsy police officer who gets paired up with Winston (Lamorne Morris).
CBS' AMERICAN GOTHIC
- Justin Chatwin (Shameless) and Megan Ketch (Jane the Virgin) have been cast as series regulars on the upcoming summer drama created by Corinne Brinkerhoff. Chatwin will play Cam Hawthorne, a sensitive, introspective artist and recovering drug addict who begins to realize that his 8-year-old son has a serious, terrifying problem and ultimately seeks comfort in the arms of his manipulative but magnetic ex-wife. Ketch will play Tessa Hawthorne, the youngest sibling who is a bright and nurturing public school teacher who soon finds herself deeply conflicted about how to handle a chilling discovery linked to her family.
