ABC Family's Nicki and Comedy Central's Bad Couple.
ABC FAMILY's NICKI
- Ariana Neal (Get Hard), Selita Ebanks (Real Husbands of Hollywood), McCarrie McCausland (Army Wives) and Wesley Jonathan (The Soul Man) have been cast on the comedy pilot, which has a series commitment at the network. Neal will play Nicki, a role inspired by Nicki Minaj in her early years before becoming a superstar. Ebanks will play Grace, Nicki's mom. McCausland will play Jaylen, Nicki's older brother. Jonathan will play Vincent, Nicki's father. Additionally, Whoopi Goldberg will guest star in the pilot as Nicki's neighbor, Miss Martha.
COMEDY CENTRAL's BAD COUPLE
- Morgan Krantz, Lucas Hazlett, Olivia Norman and Lucas Kavner will round out the cast of the comedy pilot written by Noël Wells and Flint Wainess. Krantz will play Flint, one half of an inseparable, highly opinionated couple who constantly clash with modern social mores. Hazlett will play Jonas, Flint and Noël's suave friend who never has a job but always somehow has money. Norman will play Claire, Noël's adorable, yet odd and unfiltered co-worker. Kavner will play Eric, Flint's brother, a put-upon, unlucky-in-love eye doctor. Additionally, Ben Berman and Chris Romano have joined the pilot as director and showrunner, respectively.
