NBC has just handed out another early renewal for a veteran drama series. This evening it was announced that The Blacklist will return next year for its fourth season.
Series creator Jon Bokenkamp revealed the news today during an interview with the podcast: "The Blacklist: Exposed." He said, "We knew about that a while ago, it's one of those things that's hard to keep quiet. But yes, we're renewed through the fourth season. Hopefully we don't tank that out, we got a lot of story to tell."
While no longer the ratings success it was in its first two seasons, The Blacklist is still doing solid numbers for Season 3 on Thursday nights. It also remains a sturdy performer once delayed viewing totals are factored in.
The cast for the third season features James Spader, Megan Boone, Diego Klattenhoff, Ryan Eggold, Amir Arison, Mozhan Marno, Hisham Tawfig and Harry Lennix.
Bokenkamp executive produces with Spader, John Davis, John Eisendrath, John Fox and Joe Carnahan. Universal Television, Sony Pictures Television and Davis Entertainment produce.
