ABC's DR. KEN
- Stand-up comedian Jeff Ross will appear in an April episode of the comedy's first season. He will play Doug, Ken's cocksure college friend who, after many years of dues-paying, is now a successful comedian. He encourages Ken (Ken Jeong) to follow his lifelong dream by telling jokes during an open mic night at the Laugh Factory.
USA's EYEWITNESS
- Julianne Nicholson (Masters of Sex, The Red Road) has been cast in the lead role on the upcoming drama series from Adi Hasak. She will play Helen Torrance, a former big-city homicide detective who left her harrowing career to become a small-town sheriff and loving wife. However, a gruesome crime thrusts her back into the traumas of her past - just as she's begun her hardest case yet: being a foster mother to a teenage boy (Tyler Young).
ABC's FRESH OFF THE BOAT
- Dr. Ken star Ken Jeong has booked a guest spot on an upcoming episode of the comedy's second season. He will play Gene, the fraternal twin brother of Louis (Randall Park) who arrives in town to personally invite Louis and Jessica (Constance Wu) to his wedding.
ABC's ONCE UPON A TIME
- Rya Kihlstedt (Heroes Reborn) will appear in an upcoming episode of the drama's fifth season. She will play Cleo, a bail bondsperson and no-nonsense woman who has pulled herself out of a rough early life and trusts her instincts above all else. A tough exterior hides a strong nurturing side that isn't often given a chance to come out. She was a mentor to Emma (Jennifer Morrison) before she came to Storybrooke.
OWN's QUEEN SUGAR
- Bianca Lawson (Pretty Little Liars), Greg Vaughan (Days of Our Lives) and Henry G. Sanders (Selma) have joined the cast of the upcoming drama from Ava DuVernay. Lawson will play Darla, Ralph's (Kofi Siriboe) ex-girlfriend and mother of their son, who she has been prevented from seeing as she battles drug addiction. Vaughan will play Calvin, a cop and longtime lover of Nova (Rutina Wesley), who shares a deep connection with her despite being married. Sanders will play Prosper Denton, a farmer and old friend of Ernest (Glynn Turman).
NETFLIX's LADY DYNAMITE
- The 13-episode first season of the new comedy starring Maria Bamford will premiere on Friday, May 20. Guest stars for the season include Sarah Silverman, Tig Notaro, Adam Pally, Patton Oswalt, Ana Gasteyer, Jenny Slater, June Diane Raphael, Mira Sorvino, Brandon Routh and Dean Cain.
STARZ's ASH VS. EVIL DEAD
- Michelle Hurd (The Glades, Law & Order: SVU) has joined the cast of the dramedy's upcoming second season as a new series regular. She will play Ash's (Bruce Campbell) high school sweetheart.
BBC AMERICA's ORPHAN BLACK
- Jessalyn Wanlim (Alex Gross) has landed a recurring role on the drama's upcoming fourth season. She will play Evie Cho, a spokesperson advocating research for women's health. She is a powerful, seductively articulate bio-engineer that preaches empowerment to those oppressed by sexism and physical ailments.
