FOX Renews 'Gotham' for Season 3

FOX has renewed its original drama series Gotham for a third season, it was announced this evening. The renewal comes as FOX continues to lock down a number of programming for next season as it prepares to deal with a massive scheduling hole with the end of American Idol.

The cast for the second season includes Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, Robin Lord Taylor, David Mazouz, Erin Richards, Sean Pertwee, Camren Bicondova, Cory Michael Smith, Morena Baccarin, James Frain, Jessica Lucas, Chris Chalk, Drew Powell, Nicholas D'Agosto and Michael Chiklis.

Bruno Heller developed the drama, and executive produces with Ben Edlund, John Stephens and Danny Cannon. Warner Bros. Television, DC Entertainment and Primrose Hill Productions produce.

"It takes a very special team to tell the tales of Gotham. For the past two seasons, Bruno, Danny and John have masterfully honored the mythology of Gotham and brought it to life with depth, emotion and memorable high drama, said David Madden, President, FOX Entertainment. "This incredibly talented cast has redefined these iconic characters for a new generation, and we couldn't be more proud of this show."
