Casting News - 'Ray Donovan' Gets June Premiere Date; Paul Adelstein Joins Hulu's 'Chance'; Plus 7 More Updates!

ABC's When We Rise; Amazon's Trial; BBC America's Dirk Gently; HBO's Vinyl; Hulu's Chance; MTV's Scream; Showtime's Ray Donovan; and TNT's Animal Kingdom & Good Behavior.




SHOWTIME's RAY DONOVAN
  • The hit drama starring Liev Schreiber and Jon Voight will return for its 12-episode fourth season on Sunday, June 26 at 9/8c. - leading into the series debut of Cameron Crowe's Roadies at 10/9c. Guest stars for the fourth season include Lisa Bonet, Embeth Davidtz, Ted Levine, Gabriel Mann, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Chris Coppola and Billy Lush.
MTV's SCREAM
  • After previously announcing the drama will return for its second season on Tuesday, May 31, the cable network has now revealed that the series will instead move to a new night and debut on Monday, May 30 at 10/9c.
HULU's CHANCE
  • Paul Adelstein (Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, Private Practice) has joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Hugh Laurie and Gretchen Mol. He will play Raymond Blackstone, a crooked, ruthless, dangerously well-connected and surprisingly articulate Oakland homicide detective. His life is a balancing act - he works to solve murder cases while at the same time sex-trafficking young women through the massage parlors he runs with the help of thuggish Romanian henchmen. His greatest and maybe his only weakness is his wife Jaclyn (Mol). And the fact she knows his secrets is far from the only reason he will - and probably already has - killed for her.
HBO's VINYL
  • Terence Winter - who helped create the series and served as showrunner for the first season - is exiting the drama. He will be replaced by executive producer Scott Z. Burns (Contagion) as showrunner on the already announced second season of the drama starring Bobby Cannavale.
TNT's GOOD BEHAVIOR
  • Joey Kern (Cabin Fever) and Maria Botto (Mad Dogs) have booked recurring roles on the upcoming drama starring Michelle Dockery. Kern will play Rob Burkhart. Botto will play Ava, the only member of her Argentinian family who speaks to her brother, Javier (Juan Diego Botto) finally a tragic family event that occurred when he was sixteen. However, she does not know what he does for a living.
TNT's ANIMAL KINGDOM
  • C. Thomas Howell (Southland) will recur on the upcoming drama starring Ellen Barkin and Scott Speedman. He will play Paul Belmont, a Navy lieutenant commander at Camp Pendleton and the father of Josh's (Finn Cole) girlfriend, Nicky (Molly Gordon). He wants to be a strong and positive influence in her life, but despite his attempts, she's drawn deeper into the world of Josh's family.
AMAZON's TRIAL
  • Ever Carradine (Once and Again, Shameless) will appear in a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Billy Bob Thornton and William Hurt. She will play Rachel Kennedy, a somewhat damaged client of Billy's (Thornton) who is resolved to solve the mystery surrounding her brother's death.
ABC's WHEN WE RISE
  • Kevin McHale (Glee) and Dylan Walsh (Unforgettable) have been cast in recurring roles on the upcoming miniseries written by Dustin Lance Black. McHale will play Bobbi Campbell, an AIDS activist. Walsh will play Dr. Marcus Conant, a leading American dermatologist and one of the first physicians to diagnose and treat AIDS in 1981.
BBC AMERICA's DIRK GENTLY
  • Hannah Marks (Southbound, Slash) is set as the female lead on the upcoming drama starring Samuel Barnett and Elijah Wood. She will play Amanda Brotzman, Todd's (Wood) sister, a former rebellious punk and fun gal, now sick and sidelined by a genetic disorder. The two siblings are deeply connected.
