CBS has renewed its original drama series Criminal Minds for a twelfth season to air during the upcoming 2016-17 schedule, it was announced today.
In its 11th season, Criminal Minds stars Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J. Cook and Kirsten Vangsness. The upcoming season will be the first without original series star Shemar Moore who exited the drama earlier this year.
The drama is executive produced by Erica Messer, Mark Gordon and Breen Frazier. ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios produce.
The veteran series is still a solid performer for the network. Its current season is averaging 12.04 million total viewers, a 2.8 rating in Adults 18-49 and a 3.8 rating in Adults 25-54, in Live+7 statistics.
