NBC Cancels 'The Mysteries of Laura' After 2 Seasons

NBC has opted to cancel its original drama series The Mysteries of Laura after two seasons, it was announced this afternoon. The series wrapped its 38-episode run in March 2016.






Debra Messing, Josh Lucas, Laz Alonso, Janina Gavankar and Max Jenkins starred in the series.

Jeff Rake developed the series based on the Spanish format Los Misterios de Laura. He executive produced with McG, Greg Berlanti, Aaron Kaplan, Sarah Schechter and Todd Lituchy. Warner Bros. Television, Berlanti Productions, Kapital Entertainment and Jeff Rake Productions produced.

The second season started with a 13-episode order but that was upped to 16 after the show continued to be consistent in the ratings in its Wednesday night time slot. For its second season, the show averaged a 1.5 rating in the key Adults 18-49 demographic and 8.7 million total viewers in Live+7 statistics.
