THE CW's SUPERGIRL
- Floriana Lima (The Family, Allegiance) has been cast as a new series regular on the drama's upcoming second season. She will play Maggie Sawyer, a detective for the National City Police Department who takes a special interest in the cases involving aliens.
FOX's EMPIRE
- Sierra McClain (A.N.T. Farm, Daddy's Little Girls) has landed a recurring role on the drama's upcoming third season. She will play Nessa, Shine's (Xzibit) loyal protégé who, upon first glance, is merely a timid follower to Lucious' (Terrence Howard) former partner in crime. However, it's revealed she is a rare talent with a killer voice whom Lucious is determined to sign to Empire's roster.
CRACKLE's START UP
- The streaming service has announced that the new drama series created by Ben Ketai will premiere on Tuesday, September 6. The drama stars Martin Freeman, Adam Brody, Edi Gathegi and Otmara Marrero.
NETFLIX's ALTERED CARBON
- Tony winner Renée Elise Goldsberry is set to exit the hit Broadway show Hamilton in order to play the female lead on the upcoming drama starring Joel Kinnaman. She will play Quellcrist Falconer, a revolutionary and leader of the rebellion against the Protectorate. She is a master strategist as well as the love of Kovacs' (Kinnaman) life.
HBO's HIGH MAINTENANCE
- The premium cable network has announced that the upcoming comedy created by Ben Sinclair and Katja Blichfeld will premiere on Friday, September 16 at 11/10c. The first season includes six episodes.
SHOWTIME's SHAMELESS
- Sharon Lawrence (NYPD Blue, Rizzoli & Isles) has booked a recurring role on the dramedy's upcoming seventh season. She will play Margo, a self-made real estate mogul who owns the coffee shop where Fiona (Emmy Rossum) gets a job. She winds up becoming something of a role model for Fiona.
FOX's ROSEWOOD
- Eddie Cibrian (Baby Daddy) has been tapped to replace Brian Austin Green as a new series regular on the drama's upcoming second season. Green was cast in the role in June but he and the producers agreed that he ultimately wasn't the best actor for it. So now, Cibrian will play Aaron Slade, an enigmatic new officer of the East Miami Police Department who will both challenge and complicate an already messy situation between Rosewood (Morris Chestnut) and Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz).
