Audience Network Gives Straight-to-Series Order to Drama 'Ice' from Antoine Fuqua

Audience Network has given a 10-episode straight-to-series order to drama Ice from Antoine Fuqua (Training Day). Production will begin later this year for a premiere in 2017.

Ice follows the Green family as it plunges into the underbelly of the Los Angeles diamond trade. Jake and Freddy are half-brothers brought together by their father, Isaac, the patriarch behind G&G Diamonds, and their uncle Cam. After wildcard Freddy kills a prominent diamond dealer, Jake must bail him out and save the family business while maneuvering amongst jewelry thugs, blood diamond deals, false certificates and the Feds.

Robert Munic is writing the drama, with Fuqua set to direct the premiere episode. Both will serve as executive producers. Entertainment One produces.

"I've been interested in this idea for several years and thrilled to have found such great partners to bring this project to fruition," said Fuqua. "I'm always looking for projects that explore worlds that audiences think they know, and then shining an authentic light on them, and with Ice we're going to do both."
