- Tony Plana (Ugly Betty) and Jessica Parker Kennedy (Black Sails) have been cast in recurring roles on the drama's upcoming second season. Plana will play Alcala, the new proxy of the Los Angeles bloc, a cunning politician who oozes charisma and fits into the job perfectly. While he plays the role of enlightened leader helping the population through this difficult time, he is ruthless and willing to do anything to hold onto his power. Kennedy will play Maya, a bold woman who is stationed at a secretive labor camp and is willing to take big risks for what she believes in.
