USA Renews 'Mr. Robot' for Season 3

USA has renewed its critically acclaimed drama series Mr. Robot for a third season, it was announced today. The new season will premiere in 2017. The episode order for Season 3 is currently unclear.






The drama stars Rami Malek, Carly Chaikin, Portia Doubleday, Martin Wallström, Michael Cristofer, Stephanie Corneliussen, Grace Gummer and Christian Slater.

Sam Esmail created the drama. In its second season, Esmail wrote the majority of episodes and directed all of them. It's unclear if he's planning to do the same for Season 3. Esmail executive produces with Steve Golin and Chad Hamilton. Universal Cable Productions and Anonymous Content produce.

Mr. Robot is currently up for six Primetime Emmy Awards - including Best Drama and Lead Actor for Rami Malek.
