Hulu has ordered 13 episodes of original comedy series Future Man starring Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), it was announced today. The series from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg will likely premiere sometime in 2017.
The comedy follows a janitor by day/gamer by night (Hutcherson) who is recruited by mysterious visitors to travel through time in order to prevent the extinction of humanity.
The cast also includes Eliza Coupe, Derek Wilson, Ed Begley Jr. and Glenne Headly.
The pilot was written by Ariel Shaffir and Kyle Hunter. It was directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. All four executive produce with Matt Tolmach, James Weaver and Howard Overman. Hutcherson serves as a producer. Sony Pictures Television and Point Grey Pictures produce.
