Freeform has renewed its original comedy series Young & Hungry for a fifth season, it was announced today. The new episodes will debut sometime in 2017.
The comedy stars Emily Osment, Jonathan Sadowski, Aimee Carrero, Kym Whitley and Rex Lee.
David Holden created the series. He serves as executive producer with Ashley Tisdale, Jessica Rhoades, Caryn Lucas, Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum. Freeform Original Productions, CBS Television Studios, The Tannenbaum Company and Blondie Girl Productions produce.
"Young & Hungry was the number one cable comedy among adults 18-34 during its most recent run and saw double-digit growth over the previous season in our key demographics," said Karey Burke, Executive Vice President of Programming and Development, Freeform. "The series has been a powerhouse for us since launch, and we are thrilled to bring it back for a fifth season."
