ABC Cancels 'Conviction'

In the midst of election coverage, ABC has quietly decided to cancel its original drama series Conviction. The drama will produce every episode of its original 13 episode order. However, it's unclear if all will air in the drama's currently Monday night time slot.

The drama stars Hayley Atwell, Eddie Cahill, Shawn Ashmore, Merrin Dungey, Emily Kinney, Manny Montana and Daniel Franzese.

Liz Friedlander and Liz Friedman created the drama. They executive produce with Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper. ABC Studios, The Mark Gordon Company and Double Fried Productions produce.

The drama opened on October 3, 2016 to negative reviews. Its premiere episode was seen by 5.174 million total viewers and a 0.9 rating in the key Adults 18-49 demographic in Live+Same Day numbers. The most recent episode dropped to a new series low with a 0.6 rating and 3.641 viewers.
