TBS has renewed its new original comedy series People of Earth and Search Party for second seasons, it was announced today. The two will return for 10-episode second seasons in 2017.
People of Earth stars Wyatt Cenac, Ana Gasteyer, Oscar Nuñez, Michael Cassidy, Alice Wetterlund, Luka Jones, Brian Huskey, Nancy Lenehan, Tracee Chimo, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Björn Gustafsson and Ken Hall.
David Jenkins created the comedy. He executive produces with Conan O'Brien and Greg Daniels. Warner Horizon Television, Conaco and Deedle-Dee Production produce.
In its first season so far, People of Earth is averaging 4.3 million viewers per episode across all platforms.
Search Party stars Alia Shawkat, John Reynolds, John Early, Meredith Hagner and Brandon Michael Hall.
Michael Showalter, Charles Rogers and Sarah-Violet Bliss created the dark comedy. They executive produce with Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns. Shawkat is a producer.
The first season aired across five consecutive nights at 11/10c. The season averaged 1.1 million viewers per episode across all platforms.
