Amazon has given a series order to limited series Good Omens based on the novel by Neil Gaiman (American Gods) and Terry Pratchett (Colour of Magic). The order is for six episodes.
Good Omens takes place in 2018 when the Apocalypse is near and Final Judgment is set to descend upon humanity. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing. Atlantis is rising, and tempers are flaring. Everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except a somewhat fussy angel, and a fast-living demon are not actually looking forward to the coming war, and someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist.
Gaiman will serve as showrunner on the series adaptation. He will executive produce with Caroline Skinner, Chris Sussman, Rob Wilkins and Rob Brown. The series is a co-production between Amazon Prime Video and the BBC. BBC Studios, Narrativia and The Blank Corporation produce.
