HBO has confirmed a March premiere date for the second season of its original animated comedy series Animals created by Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano.
Animals will return for its 10-episode second season on Friday, March 17 at 11:30/10:30c.
The animated comedy focuses on the downtrodden creatures native to Earth's least-habitable environment: New York City. Whether it's lovelorn rats, gender-questioning pigeons or aging bedbugs in the midst of a midlife crisis, the awkward small talk, moral ambiguity and existential woes of non-human urbanites prove startlingly similar to our own.
Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano lead the voice cast. Recurring voice actors include Lauren Lapkus, Katie Aselton, Claudia O'Doherty, Jay Duplass, Mindy Sterling, Kurt Vile and Jon Lovitz.
Matarese and Luciano created the comedy. They executive produce with Mark Duplass and Jay Duplass. Duplass Brothers Television and Starburns Industries produce for HBO.
