FX's FARGO
- After working together on FX drama Legion, Noah Hawley has tapped Hamish Linklater for a recurring role on the drama's upcoming third season. He will play Larue Dollars, an IRS agent who has no tolerance for cheaters. Lacking any kind moral scale, he believes the smallest cheater is just as bad as the master criminal.
FOX's ROSEWOOD
- Manny Montana (Graceland, Conviction) has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's second season. He will play Marcos Villa, the brother of Detective Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz) who just finished his third tour in the Army. He's recently returned to Miami but we have yet to find out exactly why he's there.
FX's THE STRAIN
- Jocelyn Hudon (Pixels, Lost Girl) has booked a recurring role on the drama's upcoming fourth and final season. She will play Abby, a young woman in a perilous circumstance who has to use all of her skills to try and survive in an upended world.
CBS ALL ACCESS' STAR TREK: DISCOVERY
- James Frain (Gotham, Orphan Black) has joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Sonequa Martin-Green. He will play Sarek, Spock's father, an astrophysicist and the Vulcan ambassador to the United Federation of Planets. The character previously appeared on Star Trek: The Next Generation and in several of the films. Production on the series is set to begin in Toronto next week. However, the show is no longer expecting to debut in May like was previously announced. It's unclear if the show will now start sometime in the summer or fall.
NBC's SUPERSTORE
- It's an Ugly Betty reunion! Tony Plana is set to appear in an upcoming episode of the comedy's second season as Amy's (America Ferrera) father. The news was announced today on Ferrera's Twitter.
NBC's THIS IS US
- Katie Couric and Atlanta star Brian Tyree Henry will appear in upcoming episodes of the drama's first season. Couric will play herself and interview Kevin (Justin Hartley). Henry will play a cousin of young William (Jermel Nakia).
AUDIENCE's MR. MERCEDES
- Holland Taylor (Two and a Half Men, The Practice) has been tapped to replace Ann-Margret on the upcoming drama starring Brendan Gleeson. She will play Ida Silver, the next-door neighbor of Detective Bill Hodges (Gleeson). She doesn't miss much and is a real piece of work: prickly, outspoken, self-serving, intimidating and vulnerable. Ann-Margret exited the project for personal reasons.
