The Fosters returns for the second half of its current fourth season on Tuesday, January 31 at 8/7c. The fifth season will likely debut in Summer 2017. Today's renewal also means the family drama will hit the 100-episode milestone.
The drama stars Teri Polo, Sherri Saum, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, Noah Centineo, Cierra Ramirez, Hayden Byerly and Danny Nucci.
Peter Paige and Bradley Bredeweg created the drama. They executive produce with Jennifer Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Greg Gugliotta, Joanna Johnson, Benny Medina, John Ziffren and Simon Fields. Nuyorican Productions, ProdCo Original and Blazing Elm Entertainment produce for Freeform.
Beyond debuted on Freeform on Monday, January 2. Its the first series where the network made the whole season available for streaming on the Freeform app, Freeform.com, On Demand and Hulu. According to the network spin, the season has already amassed 14 million views on all platforms. Network president Tom Ascheim made the renewal announcement during the show's TCA panel.
The drama stars Burkely Duffield, Jordan Calloway, Dilan Gwyn, Jeff Pierre, Jonathan Whitesell, Michael McGrady and Romy Rosemont.
Adam Nussdorf created the drama. He serves as executive producer with Tim Kring and David Eick. Automatik Entertainment and Imperative Entertainment produce for Freeform.
"Our goal for launching Beyond was to give the audience outstanding content in the way they want to watch it," said Ascheim. "The response has far exceeded our greatest expectations, both quantitatively and qualitatively, and we can't wait to bring more Beyond to its growing fan base."
