Development News - Archie Panjabi and Rita Wilson Join FOX Drama Pilot Written by Sheldon Turner; Plus 11 More Updates!

ABC's Household Name, Splitting Up Together & Untitled Paul William Davies; CBS' S.W.A.T.; FOX's Untitled Matt Nix & Untitled Sheldon Turner; FX's Mayans MC; and NBC's Drama High, For God and Country, Redliners, Relatively Happy and Untitled Mike O'Brien.



FX's MAYANS MC
  • Antonio Jaramillo (Shades of Blue, Dallas) has been cast on the drama pilot spinoff of Sons of Anarchy. He will play Michael "Riz" Ariza, Vice President of the Mayans MC, Santo Padre and former leader of a local Mexican MC, patched over by the Mayans. He uses his even-tempered charm to mask his mistrust and lingering resentment.
ABC's UNTITLED PAUL WILLIAM DAVIES PROJECT
  • Lyndon Smith (Parenthood) and Ben Shenkman (Royal Pains) have joined the cast of the drama pilot written by Paul William Davies. Smith will play Allison, a wealthy, confident, very smart, competitive and energetic new public defender who lives with her boyfriend and her best friend Sandra (Britne Oldford), who is staying with them until she finds her own place. Shenkman will play Roger, the Deputy U.S. Attorney in charge of the newly minted prosecutors who is terse and to the point as he hands out the cases to his new charges.
FOX's UNTITLED SHELDON TURNER PROJECT
  • The Good Wife alums Archie Panjabi and Rita Wilson will star in the drama pilot written by Sheldon Turner (formerly Controversy). Panjabi will play Jourdan Price, the crisis management consultant who is brought in to help with the scandal on campus. Wilson will play Constance Hawthorne, the dignified but fierce head of UCI Board of Trustees.
ABC's SPLITTING UP TOGETHER
  • The Office star Jenna Fischer will play the female lead on the comedy pilot written by Emily Kapnek. She will play Lena, an always-prepared woman struggling to navigate a new life after her divorce from Martin, whose laid-back approach to raising their three children appalls her.
CBS' S.W.A.T.
  • Criminal Minds star Shemar Moore is returning to CBS as the lead on the drama pilot written by Aaron Thomas. He will play Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson, a S.W.A.T. lieutenant town between loyalty to the streets and duty to his fellow officers when he's tasked to run a highly-trained unit. He exudes calmness but is always ready for action. He has all the ability to become a leader - he's just not happy with the reason he just became one. Moore will also serve as a producer on the pilot.
NBC's DRAMA HIGH
  • Amy Forsyth (The Path, Channel Zero) has booked a series regular role on the drama pilot written by Jason Katims. She will play Gwen Strickland, who doesn't just get what she wants, she demands it. Unfortunately, trouble at home and then trouble on stage start to rattle what had been a very confident high school student.
NBC's FOR GOD AND COUNTRY
  • Noah Mills (2 Broke Girls) will co-star on the drama pilot starring Mike Vogel and Anne Heche. He will play Joseph McGuire, the fourth member of ISA Special Operations Group Unit 7 and a veteran of the front lines. He's also the team's medic who is the quickest to violence, fond of mixed martial arts and J.K. Rowling.
NBC's UNTITLED MIKE O'BRIEN PROJECT
  • Lyric Lewis (MADtv) is set for a series regular role on the comedy pilot written by Mike O'Brien. She will play Stef, a teacher at Whitlock High School.
FOX's UNTITLED MATT NIX PROJECT
  • Just a day after Syfy's Incorporated was cancelled, series lead Sean Teale has been cast on the drama pilot written by Matt Nix. He will play Marcos Diaz aka Eclipse, a natural rebel compelled by circumstances to cooperate with others. He is a passionate and strong-willed fighter who sometimes lets his emotions overrule reason. He possesses the ability to absorb and manipulate photons.
ABC's HOUSEHOLD NAME
  • Mary Holland (Blunt Talk) has landed a series regular role on the comedy pilot starring Carol Burnett. She will play Wendy, a bit neurotic and a helicopter parent who is hesitant to move in with Vivian. They do not see eye-to-eye about a lot of things, but she concedes because the deal is too good to pass up.
NBC's REDLINERS
  • Hannah Ware (Boss, Betrayal) will play the female lead on the drama pilot written by Kelly Sue DeConnick and Shaun Cassidy. She will play Anne Dewitt, a fiercely intelligent, formidably lethal, charmingly mysterious force of nature. One of Anne's many secrets is that she is an ex-teacher/trainer in the fine art of assassination for a Blackwater-like security firm known as The Service.
NBC's RELATIVELY HAPPY
  • Saturday Night Live alum Jon Rudnitsky has been cast as the male lead on the comedy pilot written by Max Mutchnick and Jeff Astrof. He will play Henry Pepper, the golden child of scrap metal parents who has all the anxiety and drive of someone trying to compensate for a crappy childhood. A year after his wife dies, Henry must deal with another crisis: his crazy younger sister, Heather (Genevieve Angelson) has come back to "take care of him" but needs care-taking of her own.
