HBO confirmed summer premiere dates for its original comedy series Ballers starring Dwayne Johnson and Insecure starring Issa Rae, it was announced today.
Ballers will premiere its ten-episode third season on Sunday, July 23 at 10/9c., followed by the debut of Insecure's eight-episode second season at 10:30/9:30c. They premiere one week after Game of Thrones returns for its seventh season on July 16,
In addition to Johnson, Ballers also stars Rob Corddry, John David Washington, Omar Benson Miller, Donovan Carter, Troy Garity, Jazmyn Simon, London Brown, Arielle Kebbel, Dulé Hill, Richard Schiff and Andy Garcia.
Steve Levinson created the comedy. He executive produces with Johnson, Mark Wahlberg, Dany Garcia, Peter Berg, Evan Reilly, Rob Weiss, Julian Farino and Denis Biggs.
In addition to Rae, Insecure stars Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis, Natasha Rothwell, Amanda Seales and Lisa Joyce.
Issa Rae and Larry Wilmore created the comedy. Rae executive produces with Prentice Penny, Melina Matsoukas, Michael Rotenberg, Dave Becky and Jonathan Berry. Larry Wilmore serves as a consultant.
