Netflix has renewed its original comedy series One Day at a Time - a reimagining of the classic Norman Lear sitcom - for a second season, it was announced today.
The comedy centers on a recently separated, former military mom who is navigating a new single life while raising her radical teenage daughter and socially adept tween son. She's "helped" by her old school Cuban-born mother and a friends-without-benefits building manager named Schneider.
The cast includes Justina Machado, Todd Grinnell, Isabella Gomez, Marcel Ruiz, Stephen Tobolowsky and Rita Moreno.
Gloria Calderon Kellett and Mike Royce developed the series. They executive produce with Norman Lear, Michael Garcia and Brent Miller. Sony Pictures Television, Act III Productions, Snowpants Productions and Small Fish Studios produce.
