AMC Sets Premiere Date for Season 2 of 'Preacher'

AMC has set the premiere date for the second season of original drama series Preacher based on the comic book series of the same name, it was announced today.






Season 2 of Preacher will include 13 episodes and debut on AMC on Monday, June 19 at 9/8c. 

In the second season, God-power possessing West Texas preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper) embarks on a road trip to find the big guy in the sky with his loose cannon girlfriend Tulip (Oscar nominee Ruth Negga) in shotgun and Irish vampire Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) in the backseat. Along the way, the trio have but no choice but to drive through parts of Hell, with the Saint of Killers (Graham McTavish) hot on their trial.

Yesterday, it was announced that Noah Taylor, Pip Torrens and Julie Ann Emery had joined the second season as new series regulars.

Sam Catlin, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg developed the drama. They executive produce with James Weaver, Neal Moritz, Vivian Cannon, Ori Marmur, Ken F. Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon. AMC Studios, Sony Pictures Television, Original Film and Point Grey Pictures produce.
