Cinemax will not be producing a second season of its original drama series Quarry, it was announced today by series creator Michael D. Fuller. His full statement can be read here.
The drama starred Logan Marshall-Green, Jodi Balfour, Damon Herriman, Edoardo Ballerini, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Aoibhinn McGinnity, Mustafa Shakir and Peter Mullan.
Fuller co-created the drama with Graham Gordy based on the novel of the same name by Max Allan Collins. They executive produced with Greg Yaitanes, Steve Golin, Matt DeRoss, David Kanter and Ken F. Levin. Anonymous Content, Night Sky Productions and One Olive produced.
The news today comes as Cinemax is undergoing a creative rebrand with its original programming. It's moving away from pricey, prestige shows and returning to international co-productions and action adventure shows. As such, the network cancelled Quarry and The Knick.
This also comes on the heels of Marshall-Green's USA drama pilot, Damnation, getting picked up to series earlier this month.
