FOX has renewed its original comedy series New Girl for a seventh and final season, it was announced today. An exact episode count hasn't been determined yet, but it's said to be a shorter run.
The comedy stars Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Hannah Simone and Lamorne Morris.
Elizabeth Meriwether created the comedy. She executive produces with Jake Kasdan, Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope, Dave Finkel and Brett Baer. 20th Century Fox Television, Chernin Entertainment and Elizabeth Meriwether Pictures produce.
In its sixth season, the comedy averaged a 1.6 rating in the key Adults 18-49 demographic and 3.1 million total viewers, in Live+7 numbers.
