Netflix has today announced a premiere date for its upcoming drama series Gypsy starring Naomi Watts.
All 10 episodes of the drama's first season will debut on the streaming service on Friday, June 30.
In the series, Watts plays Jean Halloway, a Manhattan therapist with a seemingly picturesque life who begins to develop intimate and illicit relationships with the people in her patients' lives. As the borders of Jean's professional life and personal fantasies become blurred, she descends into a world where the forces of desire and reality are disastrously at odds.
The cast also includes Billy Crudup, Sophie Cookson, Lucy Boynton, Karl Glusman, Melanie Liburd, Poorna Jagannathan, Brenda Vaccaro and Brooke Bloom.
Lisa Rubin created the drama. She executive produces with Watts, Sean Jablonski, Liza Chasin, Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Sam Taylor-Johnson. Universal Television and Working Title Television produce.
