Audience Network has today announced a premiere date for its upcoming drama Mr. Mercedes, an adaptation of the novel by Stephen King.
The 10-episode season will premiere on Wednesday, August 9 at 8/7c.
The drama follows Brady Hartsfield, a demented killer who taunts a retired police detective Bill Hodges with a series of lurid letters and emails, forcing the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he is able to strike again.
The cast includes Brendan Gleeson, Harry Treadaway, Kelly Lynch, Jharrel Jerome, Justine Lupe, Scott Lawrence, Ann Cusack, Robert Stanton, Breeda Wool, Mary-Louise Parker and Holland Taylor.
David E. Kelley developed the drama. He executive produces with Jack Bender, Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey. Sonar Entertainment and Temple Hill Entertainment produce.
