Netflix has given a series order to anthology The Ballad of Buster Scruggs written and directed by Oscar winners Joel and Ethan Coen. The six-episode season will debut in 2018.
The Western anthology will feature six tales about the American frontier told through the unique and incomparable voice of Joel and Ethan Coen. Each chapter will feature a distinct story about the American West. The project will star Tim Blake Nelson as Buster, and many others.
The Coen Brothers will serve as writers, directors and executive producers. Megan Ellison, Sue Naegle and Robert Graf will also executive produce. Annapurna Television will produce.
"We are streaming motherfuckers!," said Joel and Ethan Coen.
