- Matthew Del Negro (Scandal) has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. He will play Danny Loomis, a charismatic yet devious political operator and consiglieri to the city's power elite under the guise of being a "financial analyst."
LIFETIME's YOU
- Newcomer Nicole Kang has booked a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Penn Padgley and Elizabeth Lail. No details were immediately released about the character she will be playing.
AMC's INTO THE BADLANDS
- Sherman Augustus (American Odyssey), Babou Ceesay (Guerrilla) and Ella-Rae Smith (Clique) have joined the drama's upcoming third season as series regulars, while Dean-Charles Chapman (Game of Thrones) and Lewis Tan (Iron Fist) are set to recur. Augustus plays Nathaniel Moon, the former regent who lost his hand to Sunny (Daniel Wu) and now teams with The Widow (Emily Beecham) in her war against Baron Chau (Eleanor Matsuura) in the hope of avenging his feud with Sunny. Ceesay will play Pilgrim, a zealous warlord who is on a quest to recover a mysterious artifact from Azra that could tip the balance of power in the Badlands. Smith and Chapman will play Nix and Castor, teenagers whom Pilgrim loves like his own children. He uses their dark abilities to enforce his will. Tan will play Gaius Chau, who was imprisoned by his older sister for liberating her cog slaves. He becomes a reluctant player in his sister's war against The Widow.
THE CW's BLACK LIGHTNING
- Kyanna Simone Simpson (The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks) has landed a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Cress Williams. She will play Kiesha, Jennifer's (China Anne McClain) best friend and partner-in-crime who also attends Garfield High School. The daughter of Inspector Henderson (Damon Gupton), she will encourage Jennifer to challenge her image as the perfect daughter of the principal (Williams).
NBC's SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE
- The veteran sketch comedy series has cast Chris Redd, Heidi Gardner and Luke Null as featured performers for its upcoming 43rd season. The new season begins this Saturday, September 30, with a premiere hosted by Ryan Gosling with musical guest Jay-Z.
CBS' THE BIG BANG THEORY
- Emmy winner Bob Newhart is set to reprise his role as Arthur Jeffries in an upcoming episode of the comedy's eleventh season. He will appear in the November 2, with all additional details about the plot being kept under wraps.
FOX's THE RESIDENT
- There's some shuffling around with the cast of the upcoming drama series. Merrin Dungey (Alias, Conviction) has been tapped to play the series regular role of Claire Thorpe, the hospital's tough and pragmatic CEO. The role was originally set to be played by Moran Atias, who will now shift to a new series regular role. She will now play the savvy and elegant head of marketing for the hospital.
SHOWTIME's HOMELAND
- Courtney Grosbeck (Parenthood) is set for a recurring role on the drama's upcoming seventh season. She will play Josie, Carrie's (Claire Danes) youngest niece. Politically conscious and staunchly anti-Keane, she is the kind of teenager who protests the administration on weekends.
HBO's UNTITLED ALAN BALL DRAMA
- Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce star Necar Zadegan has been cast in a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Holly Hunter and Tim Robbins. She will play Layla Shokrani.
