CBS has just picked up its first show for the 2018-19 season. The broadcast network has today given a 13-episode series order to original drama series FBI which counts the Law & Order and Chicago franchise mastermind Dick Wolf as an executive producer.
The drama centers on the inner workings of the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Craig Turk (The Good Wife) is set to write the premiere and serve as showrunner for the first season. He executive produces with Wolf, Peter Jankowski and Arthur W. Forney. Universal Television, CBS Television Studios and Wolf Films will produce.
The series order is somewhat surprising given Wolf's long history at NBC with the various Law & Order and Chicago shows. In recent years though, he has sold unscripted series to A&E, USA, TNT and Oxygen.
