History has today announced a premiere date for its upcoming original drama series Knightfall starring Tom Cullen.
The first season will debut on Wednesday, December 6 at 10/9c.
The series chronicles the mysterious but true accounts of the Knights Templar, the elite warriors of the Crusades. The Knights Templar's heroic exploits in the Crusades have fascinated for centuries. The drama reveals the great secrets protected by the Templars and tells the story of faith, loyalty and brotherhood that help sustain these warriors on the battlefield, and the dark events that would forever sear the infamous date of Friday the 13th into the world's psyche.
The cast includes Tom Cullen, Bobby Schofield, Sabrina Bartlett, Julian Overden, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Padraic Delaney, Simon Merrells, Olivia Ross and Jim Carter.
Don Handfield and Richard Rayner created the drama. They executive produce with Jeremy Renner, Jeff Pinkner, Andre Nemec, Josh Appelbaum, Scott Rosenberg, Arturo Interian and Russ McCarroll. A+E Studios, The Combine and Midnight Radio produce.
