In a surprising move, CBS has renewed its original drama series Ransom for a second season. The new season will once again include 13 episodes. Production will begin in Hungary for a 2018 debut.
In its first season, the drama averaged a 0.4 rating in 18-49 demographic and 3.5 million total viewers.
The drama stars Luke Roberts, Nazneen Contractor, Brandon Jay McLaren and Sarah Greene.
David Vainola and Frank Spotnitz created the drama. They executive produce with Jennifer Kawaja, Julia Sereny, Valerie Pechels and Odile McDonald. Entertainment One, Big Light Productions, Corus Entertainment, Sienna Films and Wildcats Productions produce.
