YouTube Red has given a series order to high school dramedy Youth & Consequences created by Anna Akana and Jason Ubaldi. The streaming service will launch the series in 2018.
The series stars Akana as Central Rochester High power broker Farrah Cutney, who will stop at nothing to maintain her power as her rivals rise.
The cast also features Sean Grandillo, Katie Sarife, Kara Royster, Sophie Reynolds, Piper Curda and Savannah Jayde.
Marcia Cross (Desperate Housewives) will recur as Principal Cowher and Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride) will guest star as Joel Cutney.
Akana and Ubaldi executive produce with Mark Gordon, Nick Pepper, Blair Singer, Tom Spriggs, Jesse Hara and director Wendey Stanzler. The Mark Gordon Company will produce.
