Bravo has confirmed a two-season, straight-to-series order for scripted anthology series Dirty John based on the articles and breakout true crime podcast from Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard.
The first season tells the story of how a romance with the charismatic John Meehan spiraled into secrets, denial, manipulation and ultimately survival - with horrific consequences for an entire family.
The second season will be a different and self-contained story, with details to come at a later date.
Alexandra Cunningham (Chance, Desperate Housewives) created the series. She will executive produce with Richard Suckle, Charles Roven, Mark Herzog, Christopher G. Cowen and Chris Argentieri. Universal Cable Productions, Atlas Entertainment and Los Angeles Times Studios produce.
