National Geographic has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second installment of its original anthology series Genius.
The second season - entitled Genius: Picasso - will debut on Tuesday, April 24 at 9/8c.
The drama will focus on Pablo Picasso, one of the 20th century's most influential and celebrated artists. The season explores how the Spanish-born artist's passionate nature and relentless creative drive were inextricably linked to his personal life, which included tumultuous marriages, numerous affairs and constantly shifting political and personal alliances.
The cast includes Antonio Banderas, Alex Rich, Clémence Poésy, Robert Sheehan, Poppy Delevingne, Aisling Franciosi, Sebastian Roche, Samantha Colley, T.R. Knight, Seth Gabel and Johnny Flynn.
Ken Biller is the showrunner for the new season. He executive produces with Brian Grazer and Ron Howard. Imagine Television, OddLot Entertainment and Fox 21 Television Studios produce.
