National Geographic's Genius: Picasso and YouTube Red's Swipe Right.
NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC's GENIUS: PICASSO
- Tracee Chimo and newcomer Sofia Doniants have been cast in recurring roles on the anthology's upcoming second season. Chimo currently stars in TBS' People of Earth.
- Chimo will play Gertrude Stein, an American art collector who uses Matisse and Pablo's (Antonio Banderas) rivalry to create art for her collection.
- Doniants will play Olga, a ballerina, daughter of an aristocratic Russian general and one of Picasso's wives.
YOUTUBE RED's SWIPE RIGHT
- Rosanna Arquette and Chelsea Frei will star opposite Carly Craig on the upcoming comedy created by Craig and Daniel Reisinger. Arquette starred in films Pulp Fiction and Crash while recently recurred on Showtime's Ray Donovan. Frei wrote and starred in the short Hostess.
- The comedy revolves around three women. A lifetime of saying no has left Olivia (Craig) single and miserable on her 35th birthday. She vows to plunge into the hellish world of Tinder by dating all 252 of her matches. She is spurred on by her sister Jayne (Frei) - a young married woman experiencing a seven-year itch. The sisters are joined by their recently widowed mother, Mary (Arquette), who is now also a part of the online dating scene.
- Furthermore, guest stars set to appear in the first season include Jason Sudeikis, Rick Springfield, Peter Gallagher, Tyler Posey, Thomas Lennon, Bryan Greenberg, Charles Michael Davis, Christopher McDonald, Rhys Coiro, Craig Frank, Alice Lee and Sarah Burns.
