Lifetime Announces Premiere Date for New Drama 'You' Starring Penn Badgley and Elizabeth Lail

Lifetime has today announced the premiere date for its new original drama series You starring Penn Badgley and Elizabeth Lail.







The 10-episode drama based on the novel by Caroline Kepnes will premiere on Sunday, September 9 at 10/9c.

The series is a 21st century love story that asks, "What would you do for love?" When a brilliant bookstore manager (Badgley) crosses paths with an aspiring writer (Lail), his answer becomes clear: anything. Using the internet and social media as his tools to gather the most intimate of details and get close to her, a charming and awkward crush quickly becomes obsession as he quietly and strategically removes every obstacle - and person - in his way.

The cast also includes Shay Mitchell, Zach Cherry and Luca Padovan.

Guest stars in the first season include John Stamos, Hari Nef, Daniel Cosgrove, Nicole Kang and Michael Maize.

Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble wrote the adaptation. They executive produce with Sarah Schechter, Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo. Warner Horizon Television, Berlanti Productions and Alloy Entertainment produce.
