Netflix has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of the original drama series 13 Reasons Why.
The 13-episode second season will drop on the streaming service on Friday, May 18.
The new episodes pick up in the aftermath of Hannah's death and the start of the characters' complicated journeys toward healing and recovering. Liberty High prepares to go on trial, but someone will stop at nothing to keep the truth surrounding Hannah's death concealed. A series of ominous polaroid lead Clay and his classmates to uncover a sickening secret and a conspiracy to cover it up.
The drama stars Dylan Minnette, Katherine Langford, Christian Navarro, Alisha Boe, Brandon Flynn, Justin Prentice, Miles Heizer, Ross Butler, Devin Druid, Amy Hargreaves, Derek Luke and Kate Walsh.
Brian Yorkey developed the drama based on the novel by Jay Asher. He executive produces with Diana Son, Tom McCarthy, Joy Gorman Wettels, Steve Golin, Michael Sugar, Mandy Teefey, Kristel Laiblin and Selena Gomez. Paramount Television, Anonymous Content, July Moon Productions and Kicked to the Curb Productions produce.
