SundanceTV has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original drama series The Split.
The six-episode first season will premiere on Wednesday, May 23 at 10/9c.
The drama looks at divorce through the eyes of the Defoes, a family of female lawyers. Hannah Stern has walked out of the family firm to join a rival company and now faces her sister Nina and mother Ruth on the opposing sides of high-profile cases. The family is thrown into further turmoil after their father returns after a 30-year absence.
The cast includes Nicola Walker, Deborah Findlay, Annabel Scholey, Fiona Button, Meera Syal, Stephen Mangan, Barry Atsma, Stephen Tompkinson and Anthony Head.
Abi Morgan created the drama. She executive produces with Jane Featherstone, Lucy Richer, Lucy Dyke and director Jessica Hobbs. Sister Pictures produces.
