STARZ's THE ROOK
- Emma Greenwell, Olivia Munn, Joely Richardson, Adrian Lester, Ronan Raftery, Catherine Steadman and Jon Fletcher will star in the upcoming drama created by Sam Holcroft and Al Muriel. Furthermore, Kari Skogland has signed on to direct and executive produce.
- Greenwell (The Path, Shameless) will play Myfanwy Thomas, a young woman who wakes up in London suffering total amnesia and pursued by shadowy paranormal adversaries. Grappling with supernatural abilities of her own, she must fight to uncover her past and resume her position within Britain's secret service, the Checquy, before the traitors who stole her memory can finish what they started.
- Munn (The Newsroom, Six) will play Monica Reed, a bold American intelligence officer with subtle supernatural powers who crashes into the Checquy investigation of her former lover's death.
- Richardson (Nip/Tuck, The Tudors) will play Lady Farrier, Myfanwy's mentor and ally who sits at the head of the Checquy, defending her tenuous hold on its secrecy.
- Lester (Hustle, Riviera) will play Conrad Grantchester, the suave and charismatic deputy to Farrier, who ultimately challenges her role as King.
- Raftery (The Terror) will play Robert, Steadman (Downton Abbey) will play Eliza, and Fletcher (Genius) will play twins Teddy and Alex. They are the four Gestalt siblings.
HBO's TRUE DETECTIVE
- Josh Hopkins, Jodi Balfour and Lonnie Chavis have booked recurring roles on the anthology series' upcoming third season. Hopkins starred for six seasons in the ABC/TBS comedy Cougar Town. Balfour stars in the Cinemax limited series Rellik. Chavis has a major recurring role on NBC's This Is Us.
- Hopkins will play Jim Dobkins, a private attorney in Fayetteville, Arkansas involved in deposing state police detectives in an ongoing investigation.
- Balfour will play Lori, the long-term love interest to Detective Roland West (Stephen Dorff).
- Chavis will play Wayne Hays' (Mahershala Ali) son at age 9.
HULU's CATCH-22
- Tessa Ferrer and Jay Paulson have joined the cast of the upcoming limited series starring George Clooney, Kyle Chandler, Hugh Laurie and Christopher Abbott. Ferrer appeared in three seasons of ABC's Grey's Anatomy and next stars in the second season of Audience Network's Mr. Mercedes. Paulson will be seen in TNT's upcoming limited series One Day She'll Darken.
- Ferrer will play Nurse Duckett, the ward nurse who likes Yossarian (Abbott) but has his measure. She's half-exasperated by his relentless scheming but half-admiring of it too. She enjoys the game but keeps her head on straight. It may well be that in Nurse Duckett, Yossarian has met his match.
- Paulson will play The Chaplain, a nervous, often times ineffectual, gentle chaplain who's a deep thinker, avoids conflict at all costs, and loves his wife and children intensely. Yossarian and The Chaplain take a liking to one another.
