USA has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of the original drama series The Sinner.
The second season will debut on Wednesday, August 1 at 10/9c.
In the new season, Detective Harry Ambrose returns to his hometown in rural New York to assess an unsettling and heart-wrenching crime - parents murdered by their 11-year-old son with no apparent motive. As Ambrose realizes there's nothing ordinary about the boy or where he came from, the investigation pulls him into the hidden darkness of his hometown. He's pitted against those who'll stop at nothing to protect its secrets - and the mysterious Vera, who proves to be a complicated, enigmatic piece to this haunting puzzle.
Bill Pullman reprises his role from the first season. New cast additions include Carrie Coon, Elisha Henig, Natalie Paul and Hannah Gross.
Derek Simonds created the drama. He executive produces with Jessica Biel, Michelle Purple, Charlie Gogolak, Brad Winters and director Antonio Campos. Universal Cable Productions and Iron Ocean produce.
