  • MOTHERLAND (Drama) - Written by Claws creator Eliot Laurence. Directed by Steven Adelson. Executive produced by Laurence, Adelson, Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Kevin Messick. Produced by Freeform Studios and Gary Sanchez Productions. Logline: Set in an alternate America where witches ended their persecution 300 years ago by cutting a deal with the U.S. government to fight for their country. The series follows three young women from basic training in combat magic into early deployment at Fort Salem. In this world, the traditional roles of gender and power are flipped with the more dominant women on the front lines fighting looming terrorist threats that are familiar to our world, but with tactics and weapons supernatural.
HBO's EUPHORIA
  • Zendaya has been cast in the lead role on the drama pilot written by Sam Levinson. Her recent film credits include starring roles in Spider-Man: Homecoming and The Greatest Showman. She will play Rue, the unreliable narrator and a lying, drug-addicted 17-year-old.
  • The premium cable network also announced today that Maude Apatow, Brian "Astro" Bradley, Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer and Sydney Sweeney have joined the cast.
