Netflix has today given a series order to the original drama series Wu Assassins starring Iko Uwais. Production on the ten-episode first season will begin later this year for a debut in 2019.
Set in San Francisco's famous Chinatown, Kai Jin is an aspiring chef who becomes the latest assassin in a long-running battle between good and evil.
Uwais will both star and serve as lead martial arts choreographer and stunt coordinator on the series. Byron Mann has also been cast on the drama.
John Wirth created the drama. He will executive produce with Chad Oakes, Mike Frislev, Tony Krantz and director Stephen Fung. Nomadic Pictures Entertainment and Flame Ventures produce.
