HBO Sets Premiere Date for New Comedy 'Camping' Starring Jennifer Garner and David Tennant

During the network's presentation at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour today, HBO announced the premiere date for the upcoming comedy Camping starring Jennifer Garner and David Tennant.

The eight episode first season will debut on Sunday, October 14 at 10/9c.

To celebrate her husband Walt's (Tennant) 44th birthday, the obsessively organized and aggressively controlling Kathryn (Garner) gathers together her meek sister, her holier-than-thou ex-best friend and a free-spirited tagalong - and what was supposed to be a delightful, back-to-nature camping trip quickly becomes a weekend of tested marriages and woman-on-woman crime that won't soon be forgotten.

The cast also includes Juliette Lewis, Arturo Del Puerto, Ione Skye, Janicza Bravo, Brett Gelman and Bridget Everett.

Lena Dunham, Jenni Konner and John Riggi wrote the comedy based on the British series of the same name. They executive produce with Julia Davis, Christine Langan, Ilene S. Landress and Tom Lassally. Adam Countee is a co-executive producer. A Casual Romance and Baby Cow Productions produce.
