Epix has renewed its deal with Fox Networks Group for the broadcast rights to the second season of the original drama series Deep State.
The second season will expand and delve deeper into the murky world of the deep state. Having failed in the Middle East, global powers are now turning their attention to sub-Saharan Africa and the scramble to plunder its natural resources. This is the first dirty war over clean energy.
Walton Goggins, Victoria Hamilton, Lily Banda and Shelley Conn will star in the new season. They will be joined by returning stars Joe Dempsie, Karima McAdams, Alistair Petrie and Anastasia Griffiths.
Matthew Parkhill and Simon Maxwell created the drama. They executive produce with Goggins, Bevan Jones, Joss Agnew, Paul Frift, Alan Greenspan, Helen Flint and Sara Johnson. Endor Productions and Red Arrow International produce.
