NBC's CHICAGO FIRE
- Tye White has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's seventh season. He has been a series regular for three seasons on OWN's Greenleaf.
- He will play Tyler, a former athlete turned college scout.
YOUTUBE PREMIUM's ON BECOMING A GOD IN CENTRAL FLORIDA
- Julie Benz has booked a recurring role on the upcoming dark comedy starring Kirsten Dunst. She starred for four seasons in Showtime's Dexter, three seasons in Syfy's Defiance and one season in CBS' Training Day.
- She will play Carole Wilkes, a big-haired and buxom FAM wife who's much farther up the pyramid than Krystal (Dunst). Having fully embraced her role as a subordinate, she sees herself as an authority figure for other FAM women, on how to be the ideal FAM wife. While she's a real stickler for the rules, she can have a way of surprising those around her.
THE CW's CHARMED
- Nick Hargrove has been promoted to series regular on the upcoming drama starring Melonie Diaz, Madeleine Mantock and Sarah Jeffery. He was previously cast in a recurring role on the reboot of the WB drama.
- He plays Parker, the President of the Phi Delta Upsilon fraternity. He is the quintessential upper-class pretty boy with a wild streak and a sensitive side. His charm and confidence catch Maggie's (Jeffery) eye when he defends her from a rude customer at her waitressing job.
APPLE's FOR ALL MANKIND
- Jodi Balfour has joined the cast of the upcoming drama (previously untitled) starring Joel Kinnaman and Michael Dorman. She previously starred in the Cinemax dramas Quarry and Rellik. She also played First Lady Jackie Kennedy in Netflix's The Crown.
- She will play Ellen Waverly. No additional details were announced today about the character.
SHOWTIME's UNTITLED ROGER AILES LIMITED SERIES
- Naomi Watts will co-star on the upcoming limited series starring Russell Crowe. She was nominated for an Academy Award for her lead performances in 21 Grams and The Impossible. Her casting brings her back to Showtime after having a prominent supporting role in Twin Peaks: The Return.
- She will play Gretchen Carlson, a journalist who rose to prominence at Fox News from a co-anchor at Fox and Friends to anchoring her own show The Real Story. She was the first woman to file a sexual harassment suit against Fox News founder Roger Ailes (Crowe).
HULU's THE HANDMAID'S TALE
- Bradley Whitford has signed a one-year deal to return to the drama for its upcoming third season as a series regular. He appeared in the final two episodes of the drama's second season. He won Emmy Awards for his performances in NBC's The West Wing and Amazon's Transparent. His recent film credits include Get Out and The Post. He next appears in two limited series - National Geographic's Valley of the Boom and Pop's Flack.
- He plays Commander Joseph Lawrence, an architect of Gilead, an economist pulled out of academic obscurity to create a system that has succeeded far beyond his wildest imaginings, and his worst nightmares. His combative relationship with June (Elisabeth Moss) and tenuous allegiance to the regime spur a chain of events felt throughout Gilead.
