Netflix has given a series order to the original drama series Trinkets starring Brianna Hildebrand, Kianna Madeira and Quintessa Swindell.
Based on the novel by Kirsten "Kiwi" Smith, the drama centers on three teenage girls from different corners of the high school cafeteria - Elodie (Hildebrand), the grieving misfit; Moe (Madeira), the mysterious outsider; and Tabitha (Swindell), the imperfect picture of perfection - who find themselves in the same mandated Shoplifters Anonymous meeting, and an unlikely friendship forms. They will find strength in one another as they negotiate family issues, high school drama and the complicated dilemma of trying to fit in while longing to break out.
The cast also features Larry Sullivan, Brandon Butler, Odiseas Georgiadis, Henry Zaga, October Moore and Larisa Oleynik.
Smith developed the series with Amy Andelson and Emily Meyer. Linda Gase will serve as showrunner for the first season, with Sara St. Onge set to direct the first two episodes. They executive produce with Shelley Zimmerman, Brin Lukens and Rebecca Glashow. AwesomenessTV will produce.
